SONISPHERE FESTIVAL – THURSDAY 24 JUNE- TERRAVIBE PARK - ATHENS - GREECE
It was spectacular, it was eruptive, it was boisterous, it was the concert event of the summer!
The first Greek Sonisphere Festival was premiered on Thursday 24 of June and haw begun writing its own history.
The rendezvous of the BIG FOUR with the Greek audience was given months earlier. The Greek metal community awaited with agony for the gathering of the BIG FOUR and their aides Bullet For My Valentine and Stone Sour upon Greek land.
A historical moment, which will remain indelibly written in the minds of thousand spectators that attended.
The people started to come massively from the morning and waited patiently for the doors of TerraVibe Park to open, so they could take their place in front of the two stages, Saturn and Apollo Stage, that where placed across one another in the area of TerraVibe Park in order to host the seven bands of the first Greek Sonisphere Festival.

Amazing it is: the new directions death metal is progressing to(wards) and also the influences quite new bands already have on this ever developing and creative part of metal. More technical, more brutal and more flowing than the early nineties start up.
Dyscarnate it is. A death metal band from England that hits us here with there second album “And So It Came To Pass”. It is very impressive what these 3 guys are showing and letting us hear on their new output. Technical, mid-tempo and very brutal death metal the modern way. To name just a few influences Dying Fetus mainly blended with the modern techniques of The Faceless, the intensity of Beneath the Massacre and the extremity of Origin. All these influences are ignited with an incredible strong and attractive groove that keeps you occupied, banging and slamming for almost 40 minutes. And all that just with their second release.
The band commented: "We're thrilled to be given the opportunity to join Rammstein again for the second leg of their tour,last run was amazing and this one will as well be filled with darkness!"

This review comes maybe half a year too late, but still is worth every single letter of its intention: to make sure that Isvind receives the attention needed and credits deserved. At first this piece of black metal art was only available through a download option and now for almost a month also unofficially released on CD by the band itself (Get your copy for a lousy 12 Euro including shipping, see the link below).

Here we have it. The DEATH METAL album of 2012!!!
Forget techniques, over the top insane drum patterns and stuffing songs with instrumental incredibility. Just pay attention to intensity, simplicity, sound and slow down your music once in a while and you’ll end up with what will be the best death metal album of Asphyx’ career and also in general for the last decade of the genre.Every of the 10 songs is a highlight, I just took out a few to describe my emotions and feelings.
