More Than Anything is one of the best greek bands to keep high the flag of stoner/ hard rock. In late November of 2009 the band is going to re-release its debut "Drink It", aiming in a worldwide recognition, and we are sure they can manage it. Here is following an interesting chat with the bassist/back vocalist Costas.

1.Why did you choose a name like More Than Anything?

The name came out from a song by the same tittle writen by Lefteris in our early days back in 2000!

2.How could you describe your music to someone that has never heard of you?

Our music is a mixture of 60's psychedelic rock,70's hard rock,80's metal and 90's stoner/grunge!!

3.Now you are going to rerelease your debut album “Drink It”. How did you came in this decision?

We decided to re-release our debut album in order to make it known to people outside Greece...and through this we're lookin forward for our next release!

4.Do you have more new tracks ready for an upcoming release?

We already have 8 tracks ready and we prepare some more..!

5.How do those tracks sound?

The new tracks are more hard and heavy than the old...between hard rock ,metal and stoner...i could say!

6.Whats your main influences like a band?

Our main influence is the heavy rock of the 70's like BLACK SABBATH,LED ZEPPELIN,THIN LIZZY,UFO..but we're also influenced from classic metal bands(IRON MAIDEN) and grunge bands (SOUNDGARDEN,PEARL JAM etc..)

7.Has the environment you live in any influence into your music?

Off course the enviroment we live affects our music but especially our lyrics!!

8.How important is the band for your lifes?

We believe that the band is almost the most important thing for us!

9.We know that you are a really strong live band…could you describe us how is a live show  of  M.T.A?

A M.T.A. live show is a real rock concert !but it's better to see us in action!!

10.You are a three piece act. Do you think that maybe you could add  one more guitarist for a more massive sound, especially in the live shows?

We think that we perform better as a trio ...all these years we built our music style like this..!we tried some other things in the past (second guitar,some keyboards)and we finally decided that the power trio style fits us better than anything else..!!

11.Your music is really hippie orientated. Is this also a way of life for each M.T.A member?

We dont think that our music is hippie oriented...it's much more harder than this!!..and we've never been hippies in our lives...haha!!

12. What is the main topics of your lyrics? How important is for you the lyrics?

The lyrics have to do with love,life,death,suiside and wine...too much wine!!

13.I see you are very good mucisians also. Do you have study music or you are self teached?

We're self teached...listening to all those amazing rock and metal bands of the past!!

14. Tell us what do you think about rock scene of nowdays?

We dont think that there is any...especially in greece...

15.If it was possible would you like to be a band back in 70ies? Or prefer our days?

Perhaps it would be better those days but...you never know..!

16.Tell us how often do you practise each week?

We rehearse all together at least once per week and off cource we practice at home as well!

17. Can you explain us the cover of “Drink It”?

It's a"concept"cover!it has to do with the lyrics of "just for fun" mainly...the mirror,the glass of red wine...etc.

18. Whats your expectations from this re-release?

We expect at least to get heard from people from abroad,and to spread our music outside the Greek borders!

19.Do you live from the music?

No...but we would like to!

20.What do you think is the best band to come ever from Greece (of course after MTA)?

We think that SOCRATES is the one!

21.How do you see the band after 20 years?

We cannot see so far away......hahaha!!

22.Name us some bands who would like to share the stage?

There are too many and most of them are dead..!

23.Whats your future plans?

A second release and live concerts as many as possible!!

24.Whats your main philosophy like a person?

Difficult question..!i suppose it's only rock'n'roll!!

25.Whats your hobbies outside music?

We like good wine,women & traveling!
