When I am talking about recycling Ill always advise to eat your own shit; that’s a proper way to get rid of our mess and to leave a clean and tidy place. Once in a while, lately more often, also record companies are recycling the old shit, or to make it more clear: they are re-releasing old albums; which are hardly available anymore and/or released by obscure small record companies.

This is also the case with Gravehill, an old older oldest school orientated death and thrash band, which released their first two albums (see the title of this compilation) on a label called Enucleation Records. Never heard of it and now also re-released by Ibex Moon records; this release will not clean up the mess it didn’t left behind in the years 2007 and 2009.

Gravehill was left in pieces after their start in the year 2001 and finally in 2007 cleaned up the mess and started again to perform and deform old school black en death metal in the best tradition of Slayer, Autopsy, Sodom, Hellhammer, Venom and other well known bands. Their intention is to pay tribute to these and other established acts and to gather the pieces those left behind. Their job is done secure, confident and pure, but on the other hand will also never regain any acknowledgement and/or recognition. These releases were steps behind and will never catch up with the old school future.

One more aspect to mention is that one of their members has already left peaces of faeces in the metal scene with many other well established and dirty acts. Guitarist Hellfiend, or better known as Matt Harvey you might know from acts like Exhumed, Repulsion, Dekapitator and other disgusting artefacts. His influence and defecation makes this releases a bit dirtier, more disgusting and therefore more attractive.

Eat this piece of shit and pay tribute to the masters of old school metal.
