So finally back after doing the European festival tours during the weekends, in between job and watching an overkill of football matches and also please and satisfy some girlfriends; So now that finally one of them is gone (I am talking about the football, that has only a few matches left) I have time again to concentrate on my other projects. Nevermore it is at first.

I found the special edition box of the new record at one of the festivals for a very reasonable price; yes I know it is already out for a few months (no promo copy!), but such a record still deserves a good review, even on heavymetalcosmos! After hearing and reading negative and average rating reviews in general I was sceptic and prejudiced in the beginning, but now after hearing and undergoing this new conspiracy I am convinced. After “Dead Heart” and “This Godless Endeavor” Nevermore has done it once more. Another masterpiece and classic has been born.

I can understand the negative and critical approach of many people towards this album, but it is like having to please more women after each other. It is a hard, energetic and exhausting effort, but during and after performing the result will be even more satisfying and pleasing after several times. This is the exact same case with this new Nevermore album. The starting and handling takes time and patience to comfort with, but when the mood is changing, the appetite is growing and the overwhelming aspects of Warrel Dane’s even more diverse and interesting vocal parts are emphasizing the songs, while the emotions and hungry stimulating process of emotions, melodies and mind tearing guitar leads are enforcing and gaining control over mind, body and soul, the spirit of the accompanying music, the body and the partner are transferring each other towards one out of this universal cosmos being to explode in mark able superb songs, terrible unearthly tranced power thrash metal; after the final satisfying part and slowly recovering and coming back to your earthly existence, even when nerves, feelings and emotions are not drawn back completely in the same line and the mind is still floating between corpse and stratosphere… this is the ultimate experiment and proves that you cant have enough girlfriends to accompany each other on these emotional journeys… and now you are dead!

Regarding this new record with a more clear and without emotional aspects view it is once more proven that Nevermore have come up with the perfect combination of the highly technical standard of the “Godless” album, where brilliant songs were created, with the more emotional, maybe slightly “softer” “Dead Heart” album approach. For me it is a perfect blend of the power that Nevermore contains and the excellent ability to touch you with emotionally infected songs. Just listen to “And The Maiden Spoke” or “Emptiness Unobstructed”. Just take your time to fully discover and learn to devote yourself to these partners for life! Thanks Nevermore, you will be my company for ever and more.
